Just came across this amusing little Portal 2 trailer and thought I would share.
I personally, just like alot of others out there, thought Portal was a fantastic game. The uniquie and innovative gameplay made it stand out from all the rest, which is why I wonder can Valve do it again? In my experience sequels are usually never as good as the origional. Whether it be the developers losing sight of what made the game great, or nostalgia creating the illusion of epic past games, it just nearly always seems to be the case.
Valve have added alot more gameplay mechanics and thrown in new environments to keep things fresh this time around. I'm realy looking forward to playing Portal 2 and hope valve can pull it off once again and give us a treat. What do you guys and gals think? Will it be as good? Better? Or is it destined to live in the shadow of the origional Portal?
I absolutely love this trailer and I cannot WAIT for the game to come out.
ReplyDeleteGod damnit I'm excited for Portal 2.
ReplyDeleteI am super excited for Portal 2, although I haven't pre-ordered yet. I feel like it might be a little bit over-done. Not like they can't not do it over the top because it's a sequel and Portal 1 was awesome with its simplicity. We'll just have to hope the balance will work out for Portal 2 !
ReplyDeleteValve is doing a great job with these trailers. :)
ReplyDeleteThe cake is not a lie after all.
ReplyDeleteI don't get the hype with this. Never played it and it doesn't look to special to me. What's it like and what do you do?
ReplyDeleteportal is great ! :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for this, first game was pure quality
ReplyDeletelooks awesome!
ReplyDeleteHave never played Portal. Tried to run it a few eeks back, and my old Macmini couldn't take it. D:
ReplyDeleteIt does look revolutionary, though 8D

ReplyDeletei'm afraid it can't beat the awesomeness of portal as it was in 2007. they need to put some really new ideas into it to make it good

ReplyDeletethanks for sharing ill be back for more!
i'm pretty excited about this game!
ReplyDeleteThe humor is quite original, I cant wait for this game.
ReplyDeleteThing is, they'll either be extremely successful, like the first one OR bomb and make almost zip.
ReplyDeletenot gonna lie Portal 2 looks like its gonna be freaking awesome! so excited!
ReplyDeletePlayed through the first one and thought it was pretty cool, definitely +1 for looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteI got Portal for free via Steam with the debut of the OS X release of Steam. I played through it in under 10 hours. I have to say, I can't imagine spending $50 on the sequel, even with CO-OP, if the game is still so much of the same. Valve is great and all, but Portal 2 has to really innovate to be worth my purchase.
ReplyDeleteAlready pre-ordered two copies so me and my friend can do the co-op mode together.
ReplyDeletePortal 1 was awesome so this one will probably be even better! Plus can't wait for the map ports to garry's mod!
ReplyDeleteYYESSSSSS!!! MAN I loved portal. Most satisfying ending in a game EVER, I mean....hell... I would play it again, but I know the feeling will be empty and hollow, like the candybar wrapper floating past my window. Damn I can't wait for the second installment!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for this it isn't even funny. Though I'm scared of coop.... I wanted to kill myself at times during the first... imagine that frustration with another person in the room?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to play this!!!
ReplyDeletePreordered, like, 4 months ago.
ReplyDeleteThey need to hurry up and release Portal 2 already, I have been waiting forever
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this
